Dawn practises in the fields of civil and commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution, with a particular focus on construction-related disputes.

She acts for and advises major developers, contractors, architects, and engineers in litigation, arbitration, and adjudication proceedings and is familiar with all major standard forms of construction and consultancy contract, including PAM, PWD, CIDB, and IEM forms. Dawn is also experienced in contract administration and the drafting and negotiation of project documentation.

Apart from construction-related matters, Dawn has also handled company and shareholders’ disputes, defamation claims, contentious probate disputes, restructuring and insolvency proceedings including judicial management, abuse of dominance claims in the aviation sector, and disciplinary proceedings before the Disciplinary Committee of The Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

Dawn has recently contributed a chapter on "Litigation in the Construction Court" to "Law and Practice of Construction Law in Malaysia" (Sweet & Maxwell, 2021). She presently serves as the Deputy President of The Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators (2023 to 2025 term). She was formerly the Honourary Treasurer of The Malaysian Institute of Arbitrators (2019 to 2021 term) and a Committee Member of The Society of Construction Law (Malaysia).

Dawn obtained her LL.B (Hons) from The London School of Economics and Political Science and is a Member of the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn. She has been an Advocate & Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya since 2016.
