Jeremiah’s practice focuses on dispute resolution with a strong emphasis on corporate, aviation, and regulatory matters.

He currently acts as co-counsel for a private university college in a longstanding dispute against a regulator over the accreditation of its academic programmes. This dispute has set legal precedents, including key decisions by the Federal Court on the appealability of interlocutory rulings and by the Court of Appeal on tortious liability for breaches of non-statutory guidelines.

Jeremiah has also achieved significant outcomes for clients, such as navigating high-stakes litigation for an airlines group concerning the imposition of airport taxes and securing a Fortuna injunction to restrain winding-up proceedings amidst a Scheme of Arrangement.

Beyond litigation, Jeremiah provides strategic counsel to corporations and prominent individuals on diverse regulatory issues, including securities, anti-money laundering, technology, and telecommunications laws. He is notably part of a team presently advising a special purpose vehicle on the deployment of the 5G network across Malaysia.

Jeremiah is also recognized for his insights into financial regulation and cryptocurrencies. His postgraduate research in this area has resulted in multiple journal publications and speaking engagements, both domestically and internationally, on regulatory challenges posed by cryptocurrencies and other emerging technologies.

Jeremiah read law at the University of Leeds and is a member of the Middle Temple. He was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court in Malaya in 2017 and as an Advocate of the High Court in Sabah and Sarawak in 2018.
